Finding a new home

For over 24 years, First Light Mission operated out of various churches across the community.

In November 2017, we found stability at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Goshen, offering our guests a more consistent place to call home for five years.

In 2022, we moved into a more residential setting. Thanks to a partnership with Goshen Community Schools, our new location is now at 801 W. Wilkinson Street in Goshen.

Benefits of a fixed site

• Provides a stable, 24/7 location for guests and staff

• Residential setting enhances safety and security

• Reduces displacement and disruption in our guests’ lives

• Expands services to include single women experiencing homelessness

• Increases flexibility, welcoming new churches and volunteers to get involved
